Working on the assumption that language study must include regular contact with the language, we have organized leyenkrayz – which literally translates as “reading circle”. Its goals comprise reading aloud as a group, as well as discussing (in Yiddish) various topics, including selected works of literature, articles from the press, current events, grammar, culture, etc. These activities are intended to help attendees develop an ear for the language, as well as to perfect their abilities and usage of the language. An additional feature of the group is to integrate the Yiddishist community of Warsaw and surrounding areas.
